This particular photo was a fun one to take. I decided to try an experiment with getting a painterly effect using motion. I set up the tripod inside my car with one leg to the left of the gearshift, one to the right, and one extended to the back seat backrest to steady it. While still stationary, I positioned the camera to give the widest angle shot possible without getting the hood of my car in the shot. I set the camera to time priority at 1/4 second to get the blurring I wanted and I hooked up a cable release so I could trigger the shutter while keeping my hands on the wheel. I then drove through the road leading into Belcarra park, pressing the cable release at opportune moments when I thought I had a good composition. I ended up with a number of good photos, but I singled this one out because I liked the idea of having the 30 km/h speed limit sign in the composition.
